Concept development - laser signature for US Navy handgun.

SCOPE:

GTI was contracted by the US Navy to develop the injection molded plastics for the laser signature system. On the new generation handgun.

GTI was responsible for the overall injection molded plastics design and its integration into the gun handle. Aggressive cost targets, human factors studies and DFM were all part of the GTI scope of work.

Our team managed the entire CAD database creation and finalization as well as coordination with design requirements for the fabrication vendors and providing prototyping of parts as they evolved along the design process.
