Sr. Mechanical Engineer/Program Manager

Responsibilities:

• Driving engineering content on design projects, in order to achieve innovative, appropriate solutions for users, clients, time lines, and budgets.
• Defining initial project scope, meeting with existing and potential clients, writing proposals, leading presentations, estimating and establishing the most appropriate process and
deliverables to satisfy a client’s needs.
• Design execution of all projects from brainstorming to a hands-on role in detailed
development using Pro-Engineer &/or SolidWorks, including 3D mechanical design and 2D production-level documentation of components and assemblies.
• Manage and facilitate client interaction with respect to communication, deliverables, design reviews, deadlines, etc.
• Provide leadership direction to and mentoring of junior team members.
• Internal coordination of all team staffing and budget requirements for projects.

Qualifications:

• B.S.M.E required, M.S. preferred
• 5+ years of design engineering experience in technology, medical and/or consumer products, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility. Design consultancy experience preferred.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, highlighted by a flexible and empowering leadership style
• Expert skills in ProENGINEER &/or SolidWorks including demonstrated surfacing skills. Significant 3D CAD experience a must.
• Strong understanding and respect for industrial design
• In depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, especially mechanics, & detailed experience in plastic part design, rapid prototyping, sheet metal design, casting,
• Strong analytical abilities including structural analysis using basic engineering design formulas. Demonstrated experience in the areas for FEA, CFD preferred.
• Must possess an excellent capacity for both logical thinking and brainstorming of new Concepts
• Must have working knowledge/experience w/ ISO 13485 & FDA 510(k)
• Must have the ability to professionally lead and manage project presentations & reviews.
• Must have a high level of personal commitment to quality, with demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail in all phases of a project
