Goddard is pleased to welcome Duncan Fatkin as Vice President of Sales, Medical Devices. With a career spanning multiple continents and decades in the medical device industry, Fatkin brings a unique blend of technical and commercial expertise along with global business leadership.
Fatkin began his career in the medical device industry at Johnson & Johnson’s orthopedic division, where he quickly progressed to leadership roles, eventually heading computer-assisted surgery businesses in both the U.S. and Europe.
Over the years, he has held executive roles at Smith & Nephew, Zimmer Biomet, and BD (now Embecta), working across orthopedics, robotics, and minimally invasive surgery. In 2020, as Chief Commercial Officer of a respiratory care startup, he played a key role in taking the company public on NASDAQ.
After gaining experience across three continents and diverse healthcare markets, Fatkin is now eager to bring his expertise to Goddard. “What drew me to Goddard is its genuine commitment to people—whether through strong partnerships with customers or a supportive environment for employees,” he said. “The company’s focus on listening, learning, and delivering real solutions that positively impact lives is what sets it apart. Goddard doesn’t just talk about making a difference—it truly does.”
Fatkin’s dedication to improving lives aligns seamlessly with Goddard’s mission to enhance patient outcomes. “Who wouldn’t want to spend their career working alongside incredible people in the medical device community—both within Goddard and with our future partners?” he said. He’s enthusiastic about the opportunity not only to grow and learn at Goddard but also to make a lasting impact by “building a sustainable medical device business for the future.”
With a strong background in both large corporations and high-growth startups, Fatkin has seen firsthand how medical technology is evolving. “The future of medical devices is limitless,” he said. “Micro-implants and instrumentation, AI-driven solutions, and wearable technology will transform healthcare in ways we’re only beginning to imagine.”
Sean Albert, CEO of Goddard, added, “Goddard prides itself on working on products that make the world a better place. Duncan’s extensive experience in the medical device industry makes him the ideal leader as we continue expanding in this space.”
Under Fatkin’s leadership, Goddard is ready to drive the next wave of medical device innovation. By combining world-class engineering expertise with a deep understanding of global healthcare markets, the company is well-positioned to deliver impactful solutions. Interested in partnering with us?
